Sweet Valentine

Remember this?

Today he reminded me that he needed supplies for a card and a gift for her. So, my lunchtime was spent browsing the shelves of the local art shop, sourcing pink foiled chocolate hearts from M&S and earrings from Claire's - the haven of all things girlie.

He spent an hour tonight with me making his card, wrapping his presents, tying bows, making a gift tag and choosing bags and boxes to present it all in.

His plan: To have me drive to her house Saturday morning, for him to leave the package on her doorstep, ring the bell and run like mad to the car for us to make a quick getaway so he isn't seen!

I've never had a man go to all that effort for me. I always pretended I didn't like Valentine's because every man I went out with said it was a waste of time - but I secretly wanted them to make a big deal.

So, I'm glad Joshua's into it and I'm glad at the tender age of 9 he considers a young lady worth all the effort. I hope he stays like it.

Noodles

I'm off out tonight with two of my girlfriends to the Noodle Bar and then on to see Defiance.

One of them has mentioned that after noodles and Daniel Craig, what more could a girl want?

Err, might I suggest Daniel Craig covered in noodles, with a little bit of sauce on top and a pair of handy chopsticks....?

Joshua's Crush Continues

It's hard when you're nine and in love.

It's even harder when you have to pluck up the courage to ask your Mum when Valentine's Day is and can you have a certain person's postal address because she's moved schools.

You blush when you're nine and in love and your Mum knows about it.

He's always liked Elise.

Gizza Kiss!

Sam and Lucy were born 4 weeks apart and from the day they've been able to walk and talk, they've been great little buddies. It helps that Lucy's Mum, Emma, is one of my best and most trusted friends, so I'm more than happy these two get along so well.

The thing is, each time they do, they just have to have a little smooch!

Aren't they just the most precious pair?
