Did you know that in the Bible, the Sun is a symbol of Christ and the Moon is the symbol of the Church.
What's cool about that is that the brightness of the moon shining in the darkness comes from it's reflecting the light of the Sun back onto the earth. The moon has no light of its own.
So too, the church has no life of it's own, only that given to it by the Incomparable Christ.
Imagine a moon without its shimmer.
