I've been through a LOT of rubbish in the last 3-4 months. Rubbish that has culimated from going through sheer hell for the last 3-4 years.
But I'm coming through it now. Decisions have been made. Friendships have been severed (or what I thought were friendships) and bridges are being built and strengthened where they need to be.
I'm moving in different circles and surrounding myself with people who count and who care.
I feel good about it.

good for you! I'm glad to hear you are coming through it, I hope that means you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Plus I'm really bummed you had to separate yourself from people you thought were friends. Their loss!
Giant HUGS!
Thanks Xtina. The strange thing is that I thought I'd feel sad about the friendships ending, but I feel liberated. It has made me scrutinise people more closely though as some of those friends had been around for years. But like you say, their loss!
Sometimes you have to remove the poison, no matter how attractive it looks, to realise the damage it's doing.

I'm glad to hear that you are taking positive steps to improve your quality of life! I don't have a lot of real, true friends. I have lots of acquaintances but very few (read: 1, my sister) who I feel I can tell just about anything to. And even with her, I'm a little bit guarded.
I've come to know a lot of wonderful women through blogging and I am grateful for that; but it's not quite the same as in-person friendship, where you can go for coffee and spa days and other gab-fests :-)
But then again, I guess it isn't about the quantity of friends in your life, but the quality of the friends...oops, I see you have another post about this so maybe this comment belongs there *sigh*
